Our Story

Kamloops CrossFit Apostle is the realization of our dream to create a place where people of all walks of life can challenge themselves and each other, in the pursuit of fitness. CrossFit has taught us to become better and stronger as people, especially our mental toughness.  We believe that a supportive environment and community allows each person to grow as a whole person. Our motto is that “as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” meaning that together we make each other better.

As a Nurse I see patients everyday who are de-condition and sick. I decided I wanted to be a part of a solution that wasn’t just putting a band aid on the problem. CrossFit allows me to help people make positive, healthy changes to their lives and be a part of a happy community.

I started CrossFit in April 2016! I enjoy CrossFit so much because of the community I get to be apart of! Working out with like minded individuals(no matter their fitness level) is the best! I love watching people build their fitness skills and overall health! Don’t be intimidated, come and give it a try 🙂

I was introduced to CrossFit in 2011 at Coach Monica’s birthday party. I owe a lot to that birthday party as CrossFit has become a big part of my life. The sport has really filled the competitive void from competing in hockey, running, triathlon, and mountain biking. For the past several years, I’ve been fortunate enough to train at NC Fit (Norcal CrossFit) when I lived in the Bay Area. It was there that I really developed a passion for the sport and the community. I’ve since completed the Level 1 Certificate course and began coaching at NC Fit. Coaching is a passion of mine because seeing people get out of their comfort zones and achieve their goals is very rewarding.

I fell in love with Crossfit in 2013. I came from a competitive gymnastics background and CrossFit was exactly what I was looking for. I love how this sport challenges your physical and mental strength in such a fun and encouraging environment. I coached gymnastics for 10 years so naturally I progressed to completing my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate in 2014 and my CrossFit Kids Trainer Certificate in 2015. I just recently graduated from the Okanagan College of Massage Therapy and will soon be practicing at Kamloops Active Health. I’m so excited to be back in Kamloops and part of the Kamloops CrossFit Apostle community! I’m already so impressed with everyone’s energy and determination!
